Tablets work chemically. They need time to dissolve, and they only act where the solution actually reaches. Ultrasonic cleaning adds mechanical action: sound waves form and collapse microscopic bubbles against the surface, including the grooves and seams a still soak tends to miss. Most people get the best result using both together.

A brush handles flat, open surfaces well. It has a harder time with textured and recessed areas where buildup collects, and stiff bristles can scratch softer materials over time. Ultrasonic cleaning is contact-free, so nothing abrades the surface.

Fill the tank to the line with water, add a cleaning tablet if you are using them, and set the appliance in so it is fully covered. Start the cycle, leave it, then rinse under the tap. Nothing ever touches the surface.

No, and we do not claim it does. It is a cleaning device, and everything we say about it stays inside what a cleaning device does: it lifts what has settled on the surface, including in the places a brush cannot reach. Staining that has bonded into the material will still be there afterwards, and nothing in the pod bleaches.

The pod cleans without contact: no brushing, no scrubbing, no heat. It is the same principle used to clean eyewear and jewelry. Use it with water or the tablets made for it, and follow the care guidance from whoever made your appliance — if they advise against ultrasonic cleaning, follow their advice.

It is made for removable dental appliances that are safe to submerge — clear aligners, retainers, night guards, mouth guards and dentures. The compatibility page takes each type in turn and says what to check before you use an ultrasonic cleaner on it. What we will not do is tell you a specific appliance is safe in a tank without a source behind it.

Ask whoever made or fitted your appliance whether ultrasonic cleaning is suitable for it. They know the material and the fittings, which is what the question actually turns on, and if they say no then follow that. You can also tell us what you have and we will say what we know and what we do not.

No. A tablet works in a glass of warm water on its own. The device carries the water and adds ultrasonic agitation; the tablet changes what that water can do. Most people who own both use them together.

Twelve. The cost per tablet is shown against each purchase option on the tablets page, worked out from the pack price rather than typed in, so it stays right if the price moves.

No. Use one tablet in fresh water each time and pour the solution away afterwards. A used solution holds whatever came off the appliance.

We are waiting on a full ingredient declaration from the manufacturer and will publish it when we have it. Until then we would rather show you nothing than a list we cannot promise is complete — if you have an allergy, ask your dentist or doctor before using them.

Shipping is free on every US order, with no minimum. Delivery times, how the window is counted and what to do if a parcel is late are all set out on the shipping page, which is the one place we keep those figures so they cannot drift.

The device and the tablets can come from different suppliers, so an order containing both may be sent as two parcels that travel independently. Each one gets its own shipping confirmation email. If one has arrived and the other has not, give it the rest of the delivery window before assuming it is lost.

You have 30 days from the day it arrives, we pay the postage to send it back, and the device can come back used — trying it is the point. Tablets only in unopened packs. The full terms, including faults and damage in transit, are on the returns page.

Cleaning devices for dental appliances are generally eligible medical expenses. You can pay with your benefits card at checkout, or pay as normal and submit the receipt for reimbursement.

Eligibility is determined by your plan administrator rather than by us, so check with them if you are unsure. We cannot guarantee reimbursement.

From your account. You can skip a single delivery, change how often it arrives, or cancel altogether, and none of it needs a phone call or an email to us. Cancelling stops the deliveries there and then — nothing else about your account changes. If you would rather we did it for you, contact us with your order number.

Signing in takes a six-digit code sent to the email address you ordered with — there is no password to remember. Everything above is done from the Subscriptions area once you are in.

The band headed "Featured reviews" is currently a sample preview while the store is being built, and it says so on the page itself. It is not counted into any rating or review total anywhere on this site. Anything customers have written themselves appears in the "Customer reviews" section directly beneath it, and nowhere else.
