Ultrasonic cleaning adds mechanical action: sound waves form and collapse microscopic bubbles against the surface, including the grooves and seams a still soak tends to miss. Most people get the best result using both together.
Can't I just use a toothbrush?
A brush handles flat, open surfaces well. It has a harder time with textured and recessed areas where buildup collects, and stiff bristles can scratch softer materials over time. Ultrasonic cleaning is contact-free, so nothing abrades the surface.
Will it damage my appliance?
